Acceptance of Terms
Read these terms carefully before You (“You”) accept these Terms by: (a) placing an order through Askari on any one of our askari portals or (b) otherwise using any of Askari’s website. If You do not agree with all of these Terms, do not use this Website.
“Askari” is the owner and operator of Askari.co.mz, askari.co.za, askariinsure.com, askari.insurance and ycaskari.com
The Terms are entered into by and between “Askari” and You. Any reference herein to “Askari” shall be deemed to refer to “Askari” as applicable under the circumstances. The products offered for sale and other on-line resources accessible via the website, are provided to You, subject to the Terms.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the Terms will govern your use of any new features that augment or enhance the Website.
Your use of this website is at your sole risk. This website is provided by “Askari” on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Lead time is dependent on availability. Should we have stock available, orders will be dispatched the same day provided payment is validated/received before 1400 hours.
Should the product not be in stock please allow 10 working days plus freight transit time. This will allow for delivery to our offices.

Askari does not sell products for children, but it sells them to adults, who can purchase with a credit card or other means of internet and mobile payment. Occasionally packages are returned to us undeliverable. Should this event take place every attempt will be made to contact you to make arrangements for re-shipment if applicable to the insurance packaged purchased.
Cancellations and Refund Policy
“Askari” will not do any cancellations through the website, all returns may only be done through consulting with one of our employees.

Due to the nature of the products being sold “Askari” will not accept any returns on a product that have passed the inception date of insurance as according to the insurance partners and applicable legislation these policies are in force.
Refunds for pending policies will take place to the customers bank account that was used to conduct the transaction within 72 hours of a cancellation request.
Any orders placed by fault need to be communicated in writing to “Askari” within 3 days and before the insurance product incepts.
All other faults will be the full responsibility of the purchaser due to the nature of the insurance product.
Should you for any reason wish to cancel your purchase you will be liable for a 15% handling fee.
All Third-Party Insurance Purchases are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Payment is due as soon as purchase is made.
All prices quoted for the Policies are including taxes where applicable and includes all fees and taxes mandated by the various regulatory agencies.
For Mozambique cancellations or postponements received after the specified inception date of insurance will be charged in full as the policy is in force in Mozambique for the full duration of the policy purchased.
For the COMESA Yellow Card cancellations or postponements received after inception date of insurance will be prorated dependant on the duration of the policy that is in force across COMESA for the remaining duration of the policy purchased. Policies that have incepted and are within a 30 day period will not be applicable for a refund as the policy is considered in force.
Local Access Restrictions
The Site and all the Content and functionality contained within it is not directed to or intended for use by any person resident or located in any country where the distribution of such Content or functionality is contrary to the laws, rules or regulations of such country.
The same applies to any person resident or located in any country where such distribution is prohibited without obtaining the necessary licenses or authorisations and such licenses or authorisations have not been obtained. If any such local access restriction applies to the user, the user is not authorised to access the Site or use any of the Content on it.

By providing their email address the user consents to Askari retaining the user’s contact details and expressly consents to receiving communications from Askari which shall include, but not be limited to, requesting clarifications or additional comments; sending Askari publications; sending information about Askari events; asking for the user’s participation in surveys or polls; sending information about services and solutions or other marketing information of Askari.
In addition, the user agrees that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications sent by Askari satisfies any legal requirements, including but not limited to the requirement that such communications should be “in writing”.
Askari takes appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data. However, although Askari takes appropriate measures to protect the security of the information communicated through the site, the Internet is an open network that is not secure and there is an inherent risk that any transmission via the Internet may be intercepted, modified, misdirected, or not be delivered to the intended recipient. In addition, there is also an inherent risk that information stored on a computer connected to the Internet may be accessed without authorisation.

Askari and its affiliates shall not responsible for security breaches occurring on the site which may result due to the lack of adequate virus protection software or spyware that the user may inadvertently have installed on his / her device. Any person that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this Site or attempts to gain unauthorized access to any page on this website shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that Askari suffers any damage or loss.
The user agrees and warrants that his/her log-in name and password shall: be used for personal use only; and not be disclosed to any third party.
The user hereby grants and consents to Askari taking all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the Site and back-office applications.
Use of Information

The user agrees to cooperate with the Indemnitees as reasonably required in the defence of any such claims. The Indemnitees reserve the right, at their own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by the user, and the user shall not in any event settle any such claim or matter without the written consent of Askari.

Askari, its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, attorneys, independent contractors, providers, subsidiaries and affiliates assume no responsibility, and shall not be liable for, any damages or loss (especially loss of data, alteration of data, or downtime) to, or viruses that may infect the user’s computer, telecommunication equipment, software or other property caused by or arising from the user’s access to, use of, or browsing this Site or the user’s downloading of any materials, from this Site.
If the user is accessing this Site from outside the United Kingdom the user is responsible for ensuring that his/her use of the Site is in accordance with the laws of the country of his/her residence or the jurisdiction from which he/she is accessing the Site.

In no event including, but not limited to, negligence, breach of contract or otherwise and regardless of whether the damage was foreseeable or not will Askari, its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, attorneys, independent contractors, providers, subsidiaries and affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, special, punitive, incidental or consequential damages (including, without limitation, those resulting from lost profits, lost data or business interruption), liability or costs arising out of the use, inability to use, or the results of use of this Site, any error or inaccuracies in any information or material within or relating to the Site, any representations or statements made on the Site, any reliance upon or use of any information or material on the Site, any websites linked to this Site, or the materials, information or services contained at any or all such websites.

Askari and its affiliates shall have no obligation to use, return, review, or respond to any User Communications. Askari and its affiliates will have no liability related to the content of any such User Communications. Askari retains the right to remove any or all User Communications that includes any material it deems inappropriate or unacceptable.
User Submissions and inappropriate Material
The user is prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, defamatory, libellous, obscene, pornographic or profane material or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense or violate any law. Askari reserves the right to deny the user access to the Site at any time, in particular if the user breaches the above provision.
Intellectual Property Rights
Intellectual Property Rights in and to, inter alia, the Contents contained on the Site are the sole and exclusive property of Askari or any other third party as directed by Askari. Jurisdiction and Governing Laws
The Conditions will be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa whose Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute, save that we have the right, at our sole discretion, to commence and pursue proceedings in alternative jurisdictions.

“Askari” reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice.
Should “Askari” reduce its price on any shipped products within 10 working days of shipment, you may contact us and request a refund of the difference between the price you were charged and the reduced selling price. To receive the refund, you must contact us within 14 days of purchase but before the policy incepts.
We accept MasterCard and Visa credit cards. If you do not have a credit card please utilise one of the other payment options, or simply log off and return to the site at a later time to complete your order. All of your order details will be saved online under in the Your Account section available for use whenever you’re ready! Sorry for the inconvenience.
PayGate process all credit card transactions. All credit card transactions are 128 bit Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encrypted. The company registration documents and the site’s registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte, ensuring the cardholder and merchant that nobody can impersonate PayGate to obtain confidential information.
PayGate is committed to providing secure online services. All encryption complies with international standards. Encryption is used to protect the transmission of personal information when completing online transactions. PayGate Internet servers are protected by firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
